Glee alum Heather Morris claims Jennifer Lopez cut dancers at tour audition if their star sign was Virgo

Actress Heather Morris has made some surprising claims about Jennifer Lopez‘s audition process.

During an appearance on the Just Sayin’ With Justin Martindale podcast, the Glee alum – who has also worked as a professional dancer for years – alleged Lopez cut dancers from one of her tours based on their star sign.

According to Morris, 35, the ‘Let’s Get Loud’ singer once walked into an audition room and told the dance hopefuls: “Thank you so much, you guys have worked so hard. By a show of hands, if there are any Virgos in the room, can you just raise your hand?”

Morris says she was told Lopez whispered into her assistant’s ear before telling those with their hands raised, “Thank you so much for coming”, with Morris explaining they “had to leave after a full day of auditioning for Jennifer Lopez”.

When podcast host Justin Martindale asked Morris if the story was true, she said it was “hearsay”.

Nevertheless, the alleged process left her speechless, as she explained to Martindale.

“You’re not getting paid, you’ve been there since 10am and you’re auditioning until 6pm. You’re not getting any money. People judging you the whole time,” Morris said.

The reason Lopez seemingly avoids hiring Virgos for her tour remains unclear.

However, the star’s ex-husband, singer Marc Anthony, is a Virgo. The pair were married for seven years before their 2011 split and share 14-year-old twins Max and Emme.

According to various astrological sites, Virgos and Leos – which is Lopez’s sign – aren’t the most compatible. Apparently, they are attracted to one another but that connection will be short-lived as their personalities are complete opposites.

The internet has since had mixed reactions to the allegations.

“Making somebody’s astrological sign a serious job requirement for backup dancing is so wild,” wrote on Twitter users, while another said: “If you’re over 13 and still believe that astrology is real, you gotta reevaluate your life.”

Meanwhile, others have come to Lopez’s defence.

“In J-Lo’s defense, Virgo tend to be highly UNcoachable unless they happen to share your vision,” one fan tweeted, with another saying: “Such a Leo move. As a double Virgo, I’d be flattered at her intimidation of being upstaged by our perfectionist ways.”
